Hey, my name is Samantha. Often times I find myself bored and looking for something to do or learn. I recently turned 30, and ever since then things in my life have made me sit here and say “seriously?”. So with all this excitement in my life, I figured someone might get a kick out of my stories and sit there themselves and say “seriously?”.

I am new to all of this, so I hope my readers or reader (my mom) can be patient while I work out all the kinks. Mom, I am sure there will be grammar issues, I don’t care, leave it alone. Anyways, it is crazy how quickly things change, and sometimes life starts to become a blur. A small part of this is so I can go back and remember some of my fun stories, but it is also an outlet.

I have been a firefighter for four years, and with that comes some awesome stories, but a lot of life lessons. Sometimes I wonder if others have dealt with the same issues that I have. Now I know that most aren’t firefighters and have not done or seen the things I have, but a lot of work politics happen within this department and every work place has work politics.

My goals for this blog is to share some cool stories and life events without getting in trouble, and channeling my inner Carrie Bradshaw. Sometimes I sit here and wonder if Carrie Bradshaw were in my boots how she would handle things. (get it?) I hope that myself and my readers or reader enjoy this and we all have fun.
